French below

Tu appartiens au vent is a participative performance that juxtaposes carnival - carnival is a heterotopic, political and spiritual march born in the plantation context - and Protest March. I’m wearing a carnival mask, a stips mask, common in the Caribbean carnivals, in the colors of banana and its export monocultures. In Martinique and Guadeloupe we know their effects on the environment, on the bodies.
In Miami, I dipped in yellow colored water white tissue paper that I later cut before wearing it. In a studio I recorded a rhythm made from the mask itself consided as an instrument. This rhythme is that of a sonf of Eugène Mona (Martinique), Bwa Brilé, a non-carnavalesque rhythm but rather haunting and agrarian, it says the hardness as much as the determination. During twenty minutes of the performance, this rhythm was broadcast in space by two speakers.

The public of the Haïti Cultural Complex was invited to give shape to a Protest March by seizing my writtings. This silent procession, un full sun, also said the hardness ans the determination.
